Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 March 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sentinel prompt injection defence service (“Service”) operated by Sentinel Agents (“we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing a subscription or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Service Description
Sentinel provides a software-based prompt injection detection and content scanning tool for AI agent systems. The Service includes the Sentinel Python package, the OpenClaw plugin, CLI tools, detection rule updates, and email support. The Service runs locally on your infrastructure — we do not process, store, or transmit your content.
3. Subscriptions and Payment
Access to the Service requires an active paid subscription (“Standard” plan). Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
Pricing. Current pricing is listed at sentinel-agents.com/pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months. After cancellation, your licence key will be deactivated and the Service will stop functioning.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again. If payment remains unsuccessful after reasonable attempts, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled.
4. Licence
Subject to these Terms and an active subscription, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Service on your infrastructure. You may not redistribute, sublicence, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service. The licence is for your internal business use only.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share, resell, or distribute your licence key to third parties
- Use the Service to develop a competing product
- Attempt to circumvent licence verification or usage limits
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse-engineer the detection engine or extract detection rules for use outside the Service
6. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
Sentinel is a defence tool that reduces the risk of prompt injection attacks. It does not eliminate all risk. No security product can guarantee complete protection against all attacks, including novel or zero-day attack vectors.
WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY ATTACKS, DATA BREACHES, DATA LOSS, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM ATTACKS THAT ARE NOT DETECTED BY THE SERVICE. You acknowledge that:
- The Service uses pattern-based detection and may not detect novel, semantic, or zero-day attacks
- No security tool provides absolute protection, and the Service is one layer in a defence-in-depth strategy
- You remain solely responsible for the security of your systems, data, and AI agent configurations
- The effectiveness of the Service depends on correct installation, configuration, and usage
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect all threats.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sentinel Agents and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
9. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including the detection engine, detection rules, software, documentation, and branding, are owned by Sentinel Agents. Your subscription grants a licence to use the Service, not ownership of any intellectual property.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your licence key will be deactivated and you must cease using the Service. Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12 survive termination.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
